In the presence of IT managers from various corporations in Qatar, Afkar Information
Technology, Qatar's leading e-business solutions provider, in collaboration with
Microsoft Qatar organized a seminar event about the latest Microsoft SharePoint
technologies and Office365, the next generation cloud based platform.
The importance of this event comes from the fact that many governmental and semi-governmental
enterprises depends on SharePoint technologies to provide Intranet, extranet and
Web Content Management in order to get better business productivity by the best
use of SharePoint &cloud computing technologies for their employees as well ascustomers&
partners.
Afkar's Chief Executive Officer, Mamoun Alereigat said in his keynote speech that
in collaboration with Microsoft, Afkar’s firm is committed to introduce to its esteemed
clients latest technologies in the field of Information Workers and collaborative
e-business solutions.
“In view of many new features and facilities packed in the new cloud technology
in Office365, Afkar's ever- growing number of clients will stand to benefit from
it” said Alereigat.
He added it is essential for all firms to understand the new cloud technology to
be able to plan their requirements prior to implementation as well as training..
The seminar was also addressed by Microsoft Country Manager, Mr. NaimYezbeck. He
said that the new technologies provided by Office 365 presents a qualitative change
in IT industries. He added also, Microsoft is always keen on evolving integrated
business platforms that are in tune with the requirements of firms and organizations.
It seeks to enhance search technologies and facilitate rapid response to changing
business needs by making data-driven decisions and by deploying customized solutions
quickly and securely.
Afkar, he said, is distinguished by the fact that it is a leading company in deploying
latest Microsoft SharePoint technologies, will be chosen to provide a full range
of solution and services around Office365 for the clients.
Business Consultant from Afkar also spoke at the seminar. Samer Qarajai presented
some of Afkar’s implementations for big enterprises in Qatar, easy accessibility
and compatibility with the other applications.
He also explained about the new search engine 'FAST', one of the most significant
additions to SharePoint 2010.
Mohammed Afaneh, from Microsoft Qatar’s part, declared that the trial version of
new Office365is finally available in Qatar.
So, all the SMBs and big enterprises in Qatar can get the benefit of it.
In this context Mr. Alereigat showed the new package Office365extra by Afkar featuring
wide range of improvements and team's collaboration to meet most Intranet portals
for SMBs.
He pointed out that Office365extra provides anywhere document management system,
extranet, intranet, work flows, and unified platform on nearly any device.
This seminar is the first of its kind in Qatar and was held after the international
launch of Office 365 combines the familiar Office desktop suite with cloud-based
versions of the next-generation communications and collaboration services: Exchange
Online, SharePoint Online, and Lync Online. Working with the tools people know and
use today.
